It's New York Comic Con 2022 and MetaZoo Games is doing it bigger and better this year casters! New York Comic Con is such an iconic event every year. This year it runs from October 6 - October 9, 2022 and MetaZoo Games is going to rock the convention center the entire weekend.
Looking to get inside? Lines can be extremely long so it's best to get there early!
Once inside the convention center, make your way to booth #2743. If you're lucky enough to be one of the first 25 attendees to visit the booth, you'll be eligible to receive a Metazoo Seance sample tarot card! I've seen some amazing photos come through the Metazoo discord of sample cards, promos, spoilers and other con specific product!
This is such an iconic picture and it really captures what the New York Comic Con is all about, exclusive product with artist / creator signatures! This lucky attendee scored the Six of Swords Sample tarot card and managed to get the first signed Metazoo Seance 1st Edition Booster Box! What an incredible day!
Love scavenger hunts? So do I. Metazoo assembled a very fun and creative way to engage with their business partners during the NYCC weekend via a scavenger hunt around the con. There's just one catch though. You can't go to a location without a passport. A continuation in the Metazoo passport series, the NYCC Metazoo passport was created for attendees to collect stamps from all of Metazoo's partners at the convention. Metazoo fans have even stepped up their personalization game and are having the Metazoo artists sign and draw cryptids on these passports. Check out this personalized inside cover page of the NYCC passport! Once you get your stamp, you'll get that specific promo card as well! Partners participating this NYCC 22 Metazoo Promo series include:
CGC, PSA, Pin Club, eBay, Goldin, and WYP!
Here's a sneak peek of the promos we're starting to see from Metazoo's partners at NYCC, including the spoiler packs and more sample tarot cards.
Feedback I'm hearing from attendees is that the energy is high and the magic is real. I must admit, I'm a little jealous in viewing this event from afar but happy for everyone who is and will attend the event this weekend.
What's an con without exclusive product drops? Metazoo Seance 1st Edition Booster Boxes were made available via an exclusive eBay marketplace drop. Very cool to see some of this product get introduced to new and existing fans during this event.
Metazoo is also gearing up their eBay partnership with another Metazoo x eBay product release. The Metazoo x eBay Seance tarot cards are going to release on Metazoo's eBay store on 10/8/2022! Be ready and be quick. I imagine these will be in high demand and sell out quickly.
I don't know about you, but I'll definitely be grabbing some of these! It's exciting to see these tarot cards be introduced as 4th wall items in combination with Seance cards. The tarot cards really capture the theme of this set, and I'm excited to see this in person and use them in the game.
I'll leave you with one last incredible image from the event, a personalized Chibi Babe the Blue Ox which has quickly become a fan favorite! Until next time, the Seance is here and the magic is real!
